What is SME-RISE?
SME-RISE is a 24-month Erasmus+ project focused on strengthening the competitiveness of SMEs and young entrepreneurs in the drone services sector.
By strengthening business skills, supporting vocational education and training, and creating accessible learning pathways, the project helps participants move from interest to action — and from ideas to more sustainable business opportunities.
Bringing together partners from Portugal, Greece, and Cyprus, SME-RISE develops practical learning resources, training experiences, and digital tools tailored to the needs of a fast-evolving market.

What we’re building
A business development curriculum tailored to the needs of SMEs & young entrepreneurs
A practical guidebook for
innovative drone services
VR-based
training experiences
An online platform with learning resources, tools, and opportunities for engagement
Drone technology is evolving rapidly across Europe. New applications are emerging in areas like construction, agriculture, logistics, and inspection - creating real opportunities for businesses and entrepreneurs.
But while the technology is advancing, many SMEs and young entrepreneurs are struggling to keep up. Access to practical training is still limited.
Understanding how to build a viable business in this space is not always clear. And navigating changing market conditions and regulatory requirements can be overwhelming.
The result is a gap between innovation and real business growth.
SME-RISE is designed to close that gap.
